Management Couple - Cayley Lodge

RESORT MANAGER: Key Performance Areas:

This role is responsible for managing staff & handling all aspects of the resort & associated facilities. Ensure that regular maintenance of the resort is carried out effectively. Interact with guests. Monitor budgets & process relevant documentation. The successful candidate must be prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Handling of guest related queries, online booking platforms and various booking periods.

Position Requirements:

  • Be deadline orientated & have ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent decision making skills
  • 5 year’s experience in Resort Manager Position or similar hotel management position
  • Must have HR & IR experience to deal with staff
  • Un-endorsed Code 08 driver’s licence
  • Above average computer literacy
  • Food & beverage and Health spa experience would be an advantage

FRONT OFFICE / HOUSEKEEPER: Key Performance Areas:

Duties range from telephone, office administration, reservations, stock/asset control, data capturing, handling of money and ordering/stock procurement. Handling of guest related queries, online booking platforms and various booking periods. This person must be able to work without supervision and have good customer relations. Also be responsible for the standard of housekeeping as set by the Group. Supervising and allocating staff duties and staff administration. Issuing, recording and controlling stock of consumable, stores and linen and equipment

Position Requirements:

  • Matric
  • 2 years’ Managerial experience in a Housekeeper/Front Office position
  • Computer literacy skills including Excel, Word & Hotelier
  • Hotel experience and Qualifications would be advantageous
  • Supervising and allocating staff duties and staff administration
  • Staff Management background
  • Strong Housekeeping Background
  • Understanding of all resort operational aspects

Person Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Own transport & Drivers Licence essential
  • Prepared to work shifts, overtime, and on week-ends and public holidays

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification advantageous
